In 2021, 6.9% of the City of Monash's population nominated Greek as one of their ancestries compared to 3.5% in Greater Melbourne.
While the City of Monash had a relatively higher proportion of people with Greek descent, it is important to note that this varied across the City. Proportions ranged from a low of 2.5% in Glen Waverley to a high of 16.3% in Oakleigh. The five areas with the highest percentages were:
